Easy Pipe Cleaner Flowers

Make beautiful everlasting flowers from pipe cleaners. Wrap the pipe cleaner around a marker to shape the petals and use florist wire as the stem. This kit includes everything you need to make a colourful bouquet.

How to make it

1. For one flower you need: 2 pipe cleaners for the petals, about 7 cm for the centre, 2 for the leaf, florist wire and floral tape for the stem, and glue.
2. Twist a pipe cleaner six times around a marker about 1 cm wide, starting 1-2 cm from the end and leaving 1-2 cm free at the other end.
3. Replace the marker with a whole pipe cleaner threaded through the rings.
4. Bend the ends down along a thick floral stem wire and wrap the short ends around it, then wrap the long pipe cleaner down the wire.
5. Pull out the rings to form petals and squeeze them slightly.
6. For the centre, divide a pipe cleaner into four, roll one piece up like a snail and bend the end around it.
7. Glue the centre into the middle of the flower and bend the petals up around it.
8. Make a leaf from two green pipe cleaners laid in a cross, twisted once in the middle with the ends gathered.
9. Attach the leaf just below the flower head and wrap floral tape down the stem to finish.
10. Make more flowers in other colours to build a beautiful bouquet.
