What's included

Make a family of soft needle-felted Christmas figures on polystyrene cones. This kit brings together the cones in two sizes, carded wool in warm Christmas shades, craft felt for the details and a felting needle holder to shape it all.

How to make it

1. Wrap a polystyrene cone in a layer of carded wool to cover the white surface.
2. Use the felting needle holder to needle-felt the wool onto the cone until it is firm and even.
3. Build up the figure's shape and colours with more wool, red and white for the body and beige for the face.
4. Cut small details such as hats, scarves and faces from the craft felt and felt or glue them in place.
5. Make a whole family of figures in different heights using the single large cone and the pack of five.

Tip: work the needle straight in and out so you do not snap it, and keep turning the cone for an even finish.
